Meeting called to order by President Michael Rosenfeld at 8:10 am. There were twelve chapters present from Region VI. The chapters present were: Robert Morris University Dowling College Pace University, New York City Pace University, Pleasantville Delaware State University Bowie State University Green Mountain College Geneva College Goldey-Beacom College York College Wesley College Long Island University Region VI has four Star Chapters: Geneva College, Goldey-Beacom College, Robert Morris University, and York College of Pennsylvania. Motion made to accept the minutes and the TreasurerТs report. The motion carried for both. The region gave scholarships for papers in the sciences, art and humanities. The region also passed a motion to increase our scholarship to $250 per category. Fifteen chapters gave out Davis awards for the outstanding student in their chapter. A discussion was held exploring the possibility of having national yearly conventions. We could still maintain regional identity but have the advantage of attendance by a large membership thus helping chapters financially as well as giving greater academic variety to the presentations. In general, Region Vi is in favor of at least pursuing the possibility of this endeavor.
